I'm delighted to announce that my drawing 'Days of Heaven' will be on exhibit in the Salmagundi Art Club as part of the 129th Annual Members' Exhibition.  The exhibition opens tomorrow, November 14th, and runs until November 30th.  It's sure to be a wonderful show, and will be open to the public daily, so stop by if you're in the neighborhood.



Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Club's 116th Annual Juried Open Exhibition 2012

 

My drawing 'Towards Evening' has been selected for the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Club's 116th Annual Open Exhibition.  This is an exciting exhibition of art in a variety of media by women artists competing from all over the United States and is juried for acceptance.  This year's 2D media jurors were Frann Bradford, Lisa Dinhofer and Anne Stuelplagel. The exhibition is open to the public from October 2nd through October 26 2012, Monday through Friday, 12 noon - 6pm.

 

There is a Benefit Reception at the National Arts Club on Friday, October 12, 5.30 - 8.00 pm.  There is a minimum $25 donation which benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Travel and Research Fund.



'Drawings' An Exhibition of Work by Artist Members at the Salmagundi Art Club

Last May, I was honored to become an elected Artist Member of the Salmagundi Art Club in New York City.  I am delighted to announce that my drawing  'Pink Sky' has been selected for inclusion in an exhibition of work by fellow artist members.  'Drawings' opens today, September 17th, in the  Lower Gallery of the club and runs until October 5th.

Art Kudos International 2012

I am delighted to announce that my drawing 'Towards Evening' has been selected as a finalist for the 2012 Art Kudos International Juried Competition, juror David Cohen, editor and publisher of artcritical.  This online exhibition will run for one year.  My entry can be viewed on this page.

25th Annual Northern National Art Competition

My drawing 'Farmer' has been selected for the 25th Northern National Art Competition.  The exhibition will take place from July 24th until September 7th in the Nicolet College Art Gallery, Rhinelander, WI.

The Northern National Art Competition is a juried art exhibition co-sponsored by the Nicolet College Art Gallery and the Northern Arts Council. Hundreds of artists nationwide submit works to be considered for the competition. A different judge is selected each year. Typically, the judge is a working artist with a university or gallery affiliation who is experienced in critiquing other artists' work. The exhibit strives to encompass a cross-section of contemporary art in a variety of two-dimensional mediums. The art reflects many aspects of life and is always both intellectually stimulating as well as being a visual delight.  This year's juror was Sarah McKenzie.

Just got word that my drawing "Days of Heaven" has been selected for the Fort Wayne Museum of Art's Contemporary Realism Biennial Exhibition to be held in Indiana from August 11 - October 28 2012. The Fort Wayne Museum of Art’s Contemporary Realism Biennial is a national invitational and juried exhibition which highlights the strength and innovation of America’s current trends in realism. Woo-hoo!

Stone, Sea and Star, Under a Celtic Sky

Two of my drawings, including "Claddagh Fish Market" will be on exhibit as part of a group show "Stone, Sea and Star, Under a Celtic Sky" in Lorica Artworks, Andover, MA opening March 16, 2012.  It promises to be a wonderful exhibition, with lots of great work on display until the end of April.

I am delighted to announce that this series of drawings I did a couple of years ago is now available in Ireland.  The Harvest Pictorial Co. in Cork are producing miniature prints of all the drawings, which are available on-line and in various locations throughout the country, including The Kilkenny Shop in Dublin and Galway.
